Elizabug turns one tomorrow, and I can't believe that she is such a big girl!!! We have had an amazing year with her, and she continues to do so well. She is such a little miracle!
Not only will we be celebrating her birthday tomorrow, but E has a big test and doctor appointment as well. She will undergo a renal sonogram at 9:00 a.m., and we will meet with her urologist at 12:45 p.m. We would greatly appreciate MAJOR prayers tomorrow as this is an appointment where we could be told that we have to catheterize her. (Approximately 90% of patients with E Bug's type of Spina Bifida have to be catheterized so the fact that she hasn't been thus far is huge.) Please keep your fingers crossed for us!
We had her birthday party this past Saturday, and it was fabulous. All the little girls had tutus, wings and wands, and the boys had crowns and bug nets. You can see in the picture with Jeff that E was crazy shy when we sang happy birthday to her - it was super cute!!!! And her favorite part of all was playing with the tissue paper in which her gifts were wrapped - just like all one year olds. What a little blessing she is!
Thanks to everyone for their continued support! We truly could not have made it through this past year without the love, support, strength, faith and prayers with which you have provided us!!! I will try to update my blog later this week with the outcome of tomorrow's appointments.

Kayla,
ReplyDeleteShe's so incredibly precious and blessed to have you all as parents. What a great first year. You'll be feeling my prayers today as I lift up that sweet girl. God is good and will provide!! Hugs!
